Frame size comparison

Anyone know? Are the Ruger GP 100 and a S&W K frames basically the same size? This is in regard to buying a used holster on the internet.

No, K frame is smaller than GP 100's frame.

The GP is more comparable to the L-frame. Although probably still a little beefier.

Rugers are generally overbuilt.

The GP100 and L frame S&W will both fit the same holster. I have several holsters I bought for my GP100 and the package says that it fits GP100, S&W 586 and 686 and Colt Python.

I'd agree with this.
