C&r In Nj

The title pretty much sums it up. I live in NJ. Is it worth it to get a C&R. I collect vintage milsurps. Simply put, the C&R would save me money if It works the same in NJ. IN NJ do i still have to have an FFL 01 transfer or can receive my own gun (assuming it's a C&R gun) NJ is a funny state. I'm hoping someone has some insight on this.
