Anyone Carama coat a firearm? Anyone seen one?

What are your opinions on it. I saw a saiga 12 coated in it. Where the safety rides the receiver the stuff cratched off. NOT what im looking for at all. I want to use it on a cheapo 12 gauge. I need it to be tough against rust, and I want it to hold up well. What do you think?

Any paint that you paint it with will still be paint.

But I only have a few bucks! No more shotguns, and I only paid 220 for the shotty itself. So paint, and touch ups will be fine. Even if its only the BBL! I dont care how it looks. I want it TOUGH.

The only thing that is going to hold up to that type of use is black titanium nitride coating or gold if your color tastes are more flashy.

LEyts se how it holds up this duck season, it has a month and a half to harden, the white speckles are froma fresh coat of clear cote on the BBL.
