CZ P01 slide cutout?

My new P01 has a cutout near the chamber face that my 75 didn't. It's directly opposite the extractor. Normal?

Chamber face ? Do you mean breech face ? That may be there to give more room for the case rim as it swings out while ejecting . I've repaired guns that had that area poorly machined and the rim would drag on that and cause jams.

Breech face, that's it. I've just never seen it on previous CZ models until now.
