Replaceable Sole or Not, That is the question.
Today I'm going to purchase some Danner boots. The model I'm interested in - Pronghorn - comes in two styles. Molded sole or replaceable sole. It appears that there are three differences:
1. Replaceable costs more (in the short run at least). 2. Replaceable is a bit heavier. 3. Replaceable is a bit wider. My thought is that by the time I need to replace the sole, the rest of the boot will be pretty trashed, and thus, I should save a little money, weight and width and go with the molded style. I'd like to know what you think? Thanks, DG
