EOTech battery pack conversion?
I recently came across a gently used 511.A65 (N-cell batteries).
Since the N and AA are both 1.5 volt batteries, can I take the N-cell pack off and install a AA-cell battery pack on to this sight? Does EOTech even sell just the AA battery pack as an option or upgrade? |

The lever that locks the battery housing to the body and the body itself for the 511 is too short for the 512/552 battery housing. Would be nice if someone did make a conversion kit for it. I'd buy one.

I would doubt that EOTech has a conversion pack to upgrade an "N" cell sight to a "AA". But, a call to EOTech would answer that question.
I personally wouldn't buy an "N" cell sight. I have two EOTech sights now, both "AA" models. However, if the price is right for the "N" cell model you are looking at, go for it and buy a stash of "N" cells to keep it running. Martyn
