A Run on Primers

I have been trying to buy some primers of all sizes to rebuild my stockpile that was ruined in our recent flood in Arkansas. I tried Wideners and they are out of a lot of brands and there web page is very difficult to use. I called them and the woman told me I had to have a drivers license on file to buy. I tried the other place and they are out of everything, Grafts, I think. What's going on? Is everyone stocking up for the big revolution or the gun take away?

Try Powder Valley also, good prices and will combine hazmat fee on primers and powder if both are ordered.

Lots of mail order places seem to be drying up all of a sudden.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have guns. If I have guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

I was at Cabelas Saturday and they had a good supply... $4.99 per 100!!!! I just about fell over. I went down the road to Sportsmans and paid half that.

I would check local places (even if they are far) before mail ordering to avoid the $20 hazmat fee and shipping charges.

I don't know where you are located - but I would go to the biggest retailer of reloading supplies in your area - and talk to them about buying 4 or 5 cases or whatever your annual volume is for the calibers you're reloading.

Primers in the greater Seattle area have been in very short supply for at least a year - on small pistol, large pistol and a varitety of the shotgun 209 primers especially Remington and Winchester.
