Mossberg 500A + slugs ok?

I'm ignorant on the subject of slugs. I've got a Mossberg 500A that I'd like to try some slugs out with. Store near me sells Brenneke K.O. slugs for $2.19 a box. Is this safe?

Barrel is marked "Chambered for 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells. 12 ga. 20 in. Cylinder Bore".

You should have no problems with slugs out of that barrel.

Yes, You can shoot non-saboted slugs through any 12 ga barrel that isn't overbored (Mossberg 835's are overbored to nearly 10ga.). I get good accuracy out of Brenneke KO's. Also good terminal performance on game. 2.19/box is a good price too.
