Hunt with Eotech?

Sorry folks. Yet another question about hunting deer with an AR-15.
I live in Maryland and yes its allowed. Not to mention, we're not exactly dealing with juiced up sized deer in my state.
I'm going to use Fed. Partition Nosler 60 gr. which others have used successfully-inside 100 yards, careful shot placement and being mindful of obstructions.
Now that thats out of the way...anybody use their Eotech holo sights for hunting?
I'm thinking since I have it...might as well use it.
Or am I off base?
Thanks.

if you've practiced & can hit well consistently then I say go for it!

As long as it's sighted in, and you can shoot well with it, why not?

It isn't an eotech, but I've used a red dot sight on my slug-gun for years. It works great.

I see Aimpoint ads that push it for hunters. Why not the Eotech too!

I heard once a long time ago that people actually used to use iron sights to shoot deer! If you can hit your target with it, why not?

Thanks!

It makes sense. Guess I'm just second guessing myself about everything as I work towards my first hunt.
Actually.....I just don't want to look like an arse out there.
