115 gr 9mm loads with Titegroup?

Anyone have a favorite load? I am using Winchester FMG RN. Was thinking of 4.5 grains (seems to correspond with the 0.40 disk on my Lee pro auto disk) with an OAL around 1.135.

I have used Titegroup with Winchester 115gr JHPs and FMJs in 9mm. 4.5gr should get you in the high 1100s in a 4" bbl and is a pleasant load. I've loaded Titegroup to 4.8 to get 1220 fps.

You didn't ask, but I want to add that I prefer (and recommend) a slower powder in the high-pressure 9mm round, and normally use Ramshot True Blue. Ramshot's Silhouette, Hodgdon's HS6 or even Alliant Unique would be other good choices, particularly with heavier loads and bullets. The fast powders like Titegroup in 9mm can get you into trouble quickly with some really high peak pressures.

According to my manual 4.5 is max. I would never start at max. Start at 4.1 and work up. I load 115's with 4.3 grains of Titegroup with a OAL of 1.135 and think they shoot very good.

Thats good to know...Ill work my way up from a smaller starting charge. I was basing the initial powder selection on this data from the Hogdon website.

9MM Accuracy

If you are trying to get accuracy, you may want to consider Unique or Universal Clays. I have tried HS6, Power Pistol, Tite Group, Bullseye, and Action Pistol - but when it comes to accuracy, I cannot beat Unique or Universal Clays.

My accuracy load is 4.5g of Universal Clays, WSP, 115g FMJ (Dillon bulk) 1.130 AOL (mixed brass)
Gun: Baby Eagle, full size, all steel.

Good Luck AZ Rick
