Where to buy?
Haven't had much of a chance to get on TFL lately so someone may have answered this question and I missplaced the answer.
![]() I need some .22cal WRF (Winchester Rim Fire) for a old Police Positive snubby that I haven't fired since I was a kid. My local shop doesn't handle it but I understand there are some good sites to buy from on the web. Or, if anyone has some they want to get rid of, I'd would probably buy from one of TFL folks on this forum. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help ![]() Boardwalk

The Old Western Scrounger used to carry it. The business got bought out by someone and they changed the name I think. Sorry, don't have the new name or address, but I'm sure somebody on TFL does.

Found it...
Thanks for the link to Midway, Joe.
Midway will work just fine and I will order the WRF over the internet. Seems not having gotten to the range much anymore I've developed a serious case of 'flinching' with my Glock 19 and S&W 66-2. Going to drop back to .22's for a while and see if that helps get me back on target. Also thinking of having my range partner load my clips for me with some snap caps and some live for the 9mm and some empty chambers and live on the wheelgun.Any other suggestions from TFL are also welcome. Thanks, everybody--- Boardwalk

Don't you love the interweb? I grew up in the appalacian part of Ohio and used to have to drive to Charleston WV or Columbus Oh to buy stuff. But now...we I have recently bought grips for a security six and springs for my sp101 and they were delivered within a day or two right to my mailbox.
I also like the fact that my local gun dealer gets all sorts of things over the web and sells stuff that way to. That helps keep him in business, which helps our community. If I needed a certain type of ammo I would just mention it to him and he would get on his computer and find the best stuff at the cheapest price and have it shipped to him, then call me when it is in. Sure I could do the legwork, or keyboard work, but he has better links than I and it doesn't hurt that he can support his family. |
