Wood Grips for CZ 83
I'm looking for some wood furniture for my CZ 83. Please don't suggest getting them from CZ-USA because they are known to crack under normal usage. I had some links to some handcrafted ones but my computer recently crashed and I lost them. So any input would be appreciated.

Try Omega Grips: www.czgrips.us/
He gets very good reviews. I just ordered some birdseye maple for my CZ PCR from him. He's very responsive if you contact him by E-mail. |

http://dnmars.43i.net/ seems to have been killed. I've tried the site many times. Anyone know what's going on. And just when I was getting ready to seriously look into some nice grips for my CZ-82. Any other ideas for a good wood grip. Omega stopped producing for the 82 I heard.
Any help appreciated Paul |

I just got grips for my Makarov from Dennis Marschalko within the last month, and I would highly recommend him. I'm not sure where his web site (http://dnmars.43i.net/) has gone. But he is very responsive to email, so if you want to drop him a line at [email protected] I expect he'd get back to you within a day or so.

Dennis is a good guy, he's very popular with the CZ guys. I like my CZ-82 grips the way they are but if I ever wanted to change them, he's the guy I would call.

Go to CZshooters.com. It has a forum that deals with CZ82/83 and lots of discussions and sources for 83 grips. A fellow named Haken comes to mind. Check it out. BTW: I ordered CZUSA Walnut grips. They cracked the first time to the range. The CZ83 is a fine little pistol. I dont' think you'll find rubber grips though.

Due to the design of the frame there are some very thin points on the stocks/grips for the CZ-82/83. This is where they all crack from usage. I have asked several makers if they would guarantee theirs wouldn't crack under normal usage and no one would. Good luck on finding a suitable pair for your pistol.
