I put a Glock 19 on layaway

On Wednesday, I had gone down to my favorite gun shop, just to look around, for future reference. It never seizes to amaze me, that I just can't walk out without either buying a gun, or putting one on layaway. Every single gun I handle, just begs me to take it home. I handled a couple AR15s, SKS, a few bolt actions, but this little Glock Model 19 was like a sad puppy dog wanting a home. I had to tell it that I would be back for it, and I plunked down 100 dollars for it. Now it seems like an eternity to come up with the othe $449. Sometimes I hate being a broke college student LOL!

That seems like an extremely high price for a G19!

I know what he means, a poor college student, I just bought a S&W 22A-1 at a gun show today. It was 230 dollars. I Love it all ready. I bought a Hi point 45 a while back, but I have got a handle on it yet.

Congrats on the new purchase! The G19 is an excellent weapon both for CCW and range use. One of the few out there that does this double duty, and does them both well.

The G19 is a great pistol. A good deal NIB is $499-$519. I paid $509 for mine. Some Web site have it for less, but then you have to bother with transfer, shipping, etc. The G21SF, IMO, is Glock's second best value/price gun. I payed $529.

Awesome Gun

Freakin sweet gun!! the GLOCK 19 is a great choice. i own the G17, but if i had some money to burn i would get a G19. at first i was an unoffical member of the "GLOCK 17 is better then the G19", group. but after owning a G23, i have started the think the compact GLOCKs are the best overall package. it seems like you paid more then you should have on yours. did you pay $549 after taxes or before. if thats after taxes you did ok then . see if you can get the homeland defense one for about $120 more. you get alot of great stuff. and do not forget maritime spring cups! (yes, i have them in my G17)!

There is no sales tax in my state, so the price I see on the tag, is the price I end up paying, and yes I did pay $549.

Depending on where you live, the price you paid may not be out of line at all. I love my 19. It shoots great every time, it's an excellent size and 9mm is relatively inexpensive. The 19 is a teriffic pistol, enjoy!

Dude, my G19 eats everything I feed it, great choice. Out of all my handguns this would be my SHTF grab and go zombie protector.

I bought a new G19 with factory night sights two weeks ago for $629. What you paid was fair.

Enjoy the pistol. It's a good choice for many different reasons.

Welcome to the dark side. You will never be able to go back to wood and steel ever again! (Unless of course you picked up a S & W Model 15 )

Good buy. I got me a G19 about a month ago, but being in college myself (Grad in 3 weeks) I have not been home to even be able to shoot it. About 2 weeks after I purchased it, I sent it out to get refurbished since it was an older one, and a little worn... I would buy NEW if I was not living in MA. Trying to just find a g19 for sale in MA was tough, so I had to pay a little over 400 for it since it was the only one I could find after months of looking... BTW all the other models I have seen at other stores were 500+ so 400 was not too bad for me. Seems like the g19 is one of the best out there...GDLCK

I only own one polymer gun and its a G19 which I plan on keeping till I die or the polymer breaks down and crumbles . The G19 is the perfect size and offers a great amount of firepower with its 15+1 capacity.

Bad timing for being a college student and having that gun. Be interested to hear if you have any problems with it.

G-19's.... well as the G-38 go for $469.00 around here; and if you are a LEO or EMS/Fire, $415.00 is the going price.

Naw no problem here. Most people do not even know I own firearms, with the exception to close friends of mine. Let others give me all the flack they want, I obviously had nothing to do with what happened, and if people know me, know I am not like that at all. If anything, I would hope they allow those who can lawfully carry, be able to carry on campus. Being from MA I had to go through a good amount of stuff before I was able to get my permit, therefor I must be OK to have it.
