Well done, Sir! You have every right to feel proud of this evening's civic participation.

You did the one thing that most Americans fail to do - you got involved.

And that alone is enough to earn my gratitude and respect.

I hope and pray (and prepare) that nothing like that ever befalls my wife, and if it does, I hope you or someone like you is around.

I've had a couple of time when I called 911, and twice when I got involved in actually helping the police with the apprehension of criminals (both shoplifters with little risk of gun-play involved, I'll admit) and in both cases I must confess, I felt completely entitled to my increased self-esteem. I encourage you to feel completely validated in yours

Remain safe, DO take the advice of others to check on the perp's possible gang involvement, and enjoy your firearm collection! You have stuff that's illegal for me to own (stinkin' MD laws :barf: ).

Sorry to hear about the snooty MD laws you have to deal with, but if your ever in my neck of the woods, Id be glad to take you to the range for a little "demonstration" OR has great coastlines, good for vacitions!

The guy did what he thought was right and kept his head.
Things turned out right for him.
Just remember you DID take a risk, it might not work out the next time you have to go the matts so to speak.
Your job is to go home to your family every night.
