Made My First Loads!
OK, so I finally did it. Last night made 25 45 acp rds using win231 and Berrys bullets. 4.6 grn charge. I weighed about every other one, (being a new-b and all) and it stayed very consistent with the occasional .1 or .2 variance at the most. I am using the Lee turett with the 4 die kit, and auto disk powder measure. The setup works like a dream. I had no idea it would be this easy and fun! Off to the range I go! Cant wait to see how they shoot!

Good job!!
Just be sure to give me a "heads up" before you go to the Bullet Hole. I wanna make sure I'm not at the lane next to you, when you touch those babies off... ![]() Joe

Great feeling!
Eclipse45ACP--There is nothing, NOTHING, quite like the feeling of touching off your very first set of I-did-it-all-by-myself rounds, and having them all light off properly, and hit the target.
I envy you the feeling. You will, of course, be required to post a range report.

ECLIPSE45acp,FUn!,FUN!,FUN!!
You will fall in love with most of the gear when you get using it more and more.I still have all my stuff(lee challenger kit)over all these years and I have grown very attached to how it all works![]() My only complaint is the chamfer tool wears out after a while(boo hoo! ,its like a couple dollars or something ).Have fun and keep it safe

You sound just like I did with my first reloads - same caliber and equipment. Somewhere between 50 and 100 k rounds later and it's all still just as good...

Report In:
Well, they all went bang, and very accurate in my opinion. First mag 9 shots 2.5 " group from 15 yards. I will take that any day. Thats all I bench shot. I honestly don't like that. Moved it into 12 yards and was still grouping pretty tight. What a great feeling!!! I cant wait to punch up some more!

Grrr-EAT!
Eclipse45ACP--Glad to hear that yr ammo was successful. Now of course you must load up some more.
BTW, just a thought, and nothing against yr ammo: The term "kaboom," abbreviated KB sometimes, is used here and on many gun fora, for a gun being blown up, as by firing it with a plugged barrel. Since you seem quite happy with the results, and are not reporting from a hospital bed, I'm making the assumtion that you did NOT have a Kaboom. Your rounds all went bang. Which is a Good Thing. ![]() Apoligize for being a nitpicker. Important distinction. It's great that yr ammo worked.
