Value of ruger 7mm rem mag?

I guy I know has a Ruger 7mm rem mag for sale. I have looked at it off and on for a good year. He decides to keep it or I dont have the money when he is ready. It is the standard wood/blued rifle. It has several marks and scratches on it, but the rd count is probably under 200. Can anyone tell me what a fair price on a slightly rough, but serviceably ruger 7mm should be?
Thanks
AJ

That really depends on your area, my rough guestimation would be 250-350 US.

If possible, see if you can shoot it before commitng to the purchase. If accuracy and general function is ok and in the condition you describe, I'll go along with Jimro's estimate. Ruger makes a nice bolt-action rifle.

Before you jump the gun (no pun intended lol) just thought I would let you know Ruger is running a heavy promo right now on M77's. Check your local gun shop, if they've gotten in on the action they should be able to get you into a brand new 77, blued or SS, for right at 5 bills. We've got 'em at 499 right now. Thats a damn good deal. On the used gun, Id agree with Jimro, don't go a penny over 300.
