Just got the aniversary edition

Great issue. Lots of good stuff. I usually don't comment on the mag, but this was a particularly good one. I even liked the calendar.

Great GSG-9 article and nice, honest article on the FS 2000. It made me want one bad, despite the caveats.

Thanks for the kudos, Greg. Art Director Betty Shonts and Production Director Kathy Allard worked a lot of overtime on this issue, and I agree their efforts really paid off.

I thought it was a great issue. But of course I am biased.

I was very proud to have my article on the FS2000 included. I worked hard to provide a balanced review of the gun. I put a lot of rounds through it and had a good number of other people fire it in the process of putting the article together.

Amazingly I bought the first issue of SWAT and still have it stuffed in my bookshelf with a bunch of others. I've defaced most of the covers by pasting white stickies to them which list the articles that each issue has that are of particular interest to me.

My favorite part was the picture of the old cover, the better but not quite there yet cover, and the example of a new, better cover.

That was my picture on that new cover.

One question. Who was in charge of putting hanging holes in the calender?

Hank, it was our SWAT staff decision not to add hanging holes to the calendar. We figured everyone can get out their push pin/nail/whatever and do it themselves.

That's what I figured. I shot mine in with a .25 ACP FMJ.

Apparently, my postman (postperson?) is an anti. I always get SWAT late. Ah, well. The cover on the newstand edition looks great.
