knoxx COPstock?

Anybody have one of these? I'm a 5'1" female and I'm concerned about the length.

I have not had any experience with the Cop Stock, but I have a Remington 870 with the Spec Ops stock. It is adjustable in length, so should take care of your concern about length. Just shorten it. It uses the same recoil mechanism as the Cop Stock, I believe. It couldn't be made as compact as the folder, but fully collapsed, with an 18" barrel, it isn't bad.

The SpecOps stock work better than the Copstock. It has two recoil reducing mechanisms.

I looked at the SpecOps but this is my first shotgun and I want to keep the pistol grip only option. With the Copstock, it would be like having two guns.

Just my opinion, but here it is, free of charge of course. A shotgun is meant to be a shoulder fired weapon, and is at its best when used that way. Unless you are going to be using it at extremely close quarters, I don't see a lot of value in the pistol grip only option. The idea that a shotgun doesn't need to be carefully aimed is a myth. At very close quarters, a good pistol and the knowlege of how to use it would serve you better. As I say, just my opinion...you will get others that are diametrically opposed, but this is my thinking.

I've shot both and the CopStock takes enough of the recoil out, as long as the wire frame is pressed firmly into the shoulder. I really like accurately shooting slugs one-handed with the CopStock. I would suggest you put it on either an 870 or a Winny 1200/1300 because of their trigger guard safety locations. Mossberg puts their safety on the receiver which becomes awkward with the Cop/SpecOps stocks. If your worried about LOP, the one I have is almost 10" extended from the PG cap to the end of the wire stock. I don't think you will have any problems, even with slugs, from CopStock usage. If you don't like it, you can always sell it, as there are a lot of people with interest in the CopStock. For a HD weapon the 18.5" barrel is probably the preferred length.
