A year ago I would have said unique, but other powders have prevailed recently.

I now use 231 and bullseye because I am almost exclusively shooting match 230 grn ball rnds and these powders give me the best accuracy.

P229 Sport and 357 SIG, H&K P7PSP and 9MM, Dual Perfection!!

I would give a look at the powders that ArmySon has suggested! In my experience AA#5 is VERY dirty. From the many posts I have read concerning this topic (esp. @ top rated powders are:
I have heard that VV is a very clean powder. Expensive, but clean.

Hodgdon HS-6 is versitile stuff for all handgun calibers. Light loads to +P stuff. It works for 44 mag. but the Hodgdon H-110 is specifically tailored for large caliber magnum loads.

HS-6 burns reasonably clean at sufficient pressures. I don't load a lot of light stuff with HS-6. It's a bulky powder designed for medium to heavy pistol loads and shotgun loads.

While most of my reloading has been for multi-gauge shotgun (skeet), I recently started loading for .45acp.

I selected W231 with 200gr copper-plate flat-point bullets, loading only to levels that assure adequate functioning in my Para P12.

W231 meters well and it's the cleanest powder I've ever shot.
