I am thinking of building an upper for my ar10 in .338-.308.

This rifle will be used for elk and possibly bear.

Does anyone have info on this wildcat.

Load data, accuracy expectations, etc.

Thanks,

Reb

Reb. Contact Sierra Bullets at (www.sierrabullets.com). They have come up with good data for two wildcat rounds I asked for. You can ask them by E-mail, and usually get a reply within 24 hours. Hardcopy of the data will be in your mailbox, usually within 5 working days. If you E-mail them tomorrow (friday) you may not get a reply until Monday. They are real good on service.

".. This rifle will be used for elk and possibly bear. ..."

Rebel marksman, what kind of distance do you think you'll have to take an elk?

sensop,

I don't know, I've never had the opportunity to hunt them.

In August's RifleShooter there was an artical on the .338 magnums that contained info on the .338-308
"46gr Accurate 2015, 185 Barns X 2810 fps"
"44.5gr Accurate 2015, 210 Nosler Par 2530 fps"

it also states the trajectory of the 200gr in the .338-308 to be the same as a 180 in the 308 with alittle extra energy

I've been thinking of making one out of my rem 700
