Used primers dropping on the floor

I have a Dillon Square Deal and a Lee Loadmaster--The Dillon bucket doesn't catch
all the primers. The Lee keeps them all in
it's main shaft til I open the little slide
then they don't all come out unless I poke
a screwdriver in the hole--then they squirt
everywhere.
Has anyone made a modification to overcome
these problems?

I have a Dillon Square Deal B and have the same problem. I have found that if you keep the Primmer tube and Primmer parts clean.Also adjust the primmer catching cup around,this does'nt happen as often maybe 1 every 40-50 rounds.I just cut a piece of cardbord up and set it on the floor to catch the ones that do fall.
If anyone knows of a better way I am Interested too!

I have the same problem with my SDB. I have found that if you empty the little catch basin often you don't have as much of a problem.

I have the 550B, and it occasionally drops one on the floor. However, rather than solve it by modifications or taping cardboard to the press, I invested in a vacuum cleaner.

Hmmmmmm... I guess it's another checkmark in the `great' column for my Forster Co-Axial press. {GRIN!} All I ever have to do is just unscrew the little jar and empty it when it starts to look like it's getting full. (While I really haven't ever gotten the jar that came with it completely full I have been looking for a bigger jar just in case I do get into a really `heavy' session and *maybe* not notice that it *is* getting too full. Though, since it is a clear jar, I don't think it'll be a `real' problem.)

Gee, guys! There's this brand-new invention called a "Broom". You can also buy a thingummie called a "Dust Pan".

There is an Immutable Law of Spent Primers: No matter what you do, not matter what sort of patented whizbang primer-catcher you buy, the first time your wife goes into the reloading area she's gonna step on a spent primer. Quel bummer!

I quickly solved the spewing primer problem with my Loadmaster by putting a large plastic bag under the primer disposal slide when I poke the screwdrive up in the ram. As a matter of fact, I need to do that right now.
