WARNING, LOAD +P AMMUNITION AT YOUR OWN RISK.
AUTHOR ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU GO BLOW YOUR HAND OFF USING MY LOAD DATA.

Always remember, information is always worth what you pay for it. Especially on the 'net.

I finally made it out to test the .45 test loads I made up using new. 45 Super brass from Starline. I didn't get any hard accuracy data yet, but they all hit a 8.5" X 11" target at 50'. I shot 3 of each load. The test weapon is a Ruger P90DC.

200 gr. Hornady XTP
7.0 gr. W231
CCI primer
new .45 Super brass.
1.24" OAL
Max load from Hornady load manual: 5.8 gr. W231
957, 962, 941 FPS

200 gr. Hornady XTP
10.0 gr. Accurate Arms #5
CCI primer
new .45 Super brass.
1.24" OAL
Max load from AA load manual: 9.7 gr. AA#5
1032, 1045, 1062 FPS

I tried some others, but these were the most consistent. No overpressure signs whatsoever.

Just for grins I shot three each of my Triton ammo I acquired:

Triton .45 Super, 165 Gr JHP.
1315, 1355, 1316 FPS

Triton .45ACP +p, 185 Gr JHP
1115, 1132, 1097 FPS

And some Corbon:

.45ACP +p 165Gr. JHP
1247, 1255, 1228 FPS

.45ACP +p 230 gr. JHP
987, 963, 956 FPS

Remember this is NEW .45 SUPER brass.

DO NOT TRY THESE LOADS WITH STANDARD .45 ACP BRASS!!! KB COULD RESULT!!!!!

As you can see, my loads are definitely +p territory, and I still have a little room, not much to try to get that magic number:

1088 FPS at sea level.

Calculated muzzle energy on my handloads was 480 to 520 ft/lb range.

Next week: same bullet, 10.3 gr. AA#5., and 230 gr. FMJ, 9.5 gr. AA#5.

WARNING: I CAN'T SAY THIS ENOUGH, DO NOT USE THIS LOAD DATA WITH STANDARD .45ACP BRASS, EVEN NEW BRASS!!! CAN YOU SAY KB??? THAT IS WHAT YOU WILL HAVE IF YOU DO SO!

Man, that is exhilirating (sp?)
