I use a Dillon 550B & RCBS carbide dies to load .45 cal 230gr FMJ and sometimes, the case wrinkles when seating a bullet. It only happens maybe 1 of 50-100 times but it bugs me. Any suggestions on what causes this. The brass is new Winchester.

Try just tad more case mouth bell. See if you have a seating stem that doesn't match your bullet nose shape (letting it tip as you seat it).

Greetings Poster's; As a footnote to this post don't attempt to use your "wrinkled"
.45ACP's in an H&K USP; as tolerance's are
tight, and you will have a devil of a time
getting the slide to move rearward. On the
other hand, my Sig P220 will digest just
about any case condition that you can think
of.

Best Wishes,
