Cabela's Retail Stores, Indoor Ranges, Courses, Etc.

There will soon be a Cabela's here in Phoenix, AZ.
I am lucky enough to live 10-15 minutes away

I heard that most locations have indoor archery ranges, while only some Cabela's have indoor shooting ranges.

Can anyone confirm that some Cabela's do have indoor shooting ranges?
I believe I heard the Utah location has an indoor range.

I did see that some locations also offer CCW classes, I believe the cost was $40 or so, that may vary by state though depending on what the class involves.

Besides all the great products to purchase, what else can I get out of my local Cabela's retail store?

BTW the Phoenix, AZ location opens in August 2006.
Here is another thread in which I posted some progress pictures:

Is this a firearm shooting range or is it for fake guns?

The one here in Dundee, MI has a fake one. They're similar to bb guns with some form of radio or infra-red targeting system. You aim them at little targets and what ever target you "hit" has a little reaction.

I doubt that you will see a real shooting range at a cabela's store just for insurance reasons

Range or no range you will find yourself going in there and not leaving for a longggg time. There is even a restaurant so that you can keep going longer.

I rarely get to one but when I do it is the one in Hamburg, PA. I stopped there last week with my 4 year old daughter on the way to Hershey Park and Dutch Wonderland. Before I knew it we had been there 3 1/2 hours, no mean feat with a 4 year old!

that just means that Bass Pro chose to pay the extra insurance premium which is probably an expensive add on. If I owned Cabela's I doubt that I would pay the extra money

Both of the Cabelas here in Nebraska have single lane archery ranges. BUT they are maybe 20 ft. and are test ranges to see if you like the bow. I think anyway, I haven't ever personally used them.

Amen to that. The food is expensive though.
I like to look at the fish tank when I go.

Fort Worth Texas Cabelas has an indoor pistol range. I'm curious now if they offer a handgun class for CCW. I may have to go by there this weekend. What a good excuse to wander around there for a few hours.

The Cabela's in Owatonna, MN offers a class, in fact that where I got mine. I would guess yours does too. Good Luck
