TFL Republican Primary

Ok just a quick poll as to who you would vote for if there was a Primary election today. I didn't include all possible candidates but mostly the front runners. if you do not see your guy here then vote Dark Horse/Other. Oh yeah this is an open primary so if you are of another party vote anyway, there is no way to check that on here anyway.

well since it is a primary you can vote for "other" which could mean none of the above or you could just go with the majority of americans and choose not to vote.

Rudy & Mitt - gun snatchers
McCain- crumb snatcher politician, while I applaud his service to our country, I wonder if the real John McCain got replaced by a pod person.
Bill Frist - after his last stock deal, just another politician who says he looking out for the people but he is still looking out after his pocketbook.
George Allen- another one of those candidates who uses the wet finger in the wind method.

the people that i put in the poll were ones that either said were interested or had not ruled it out, Condi Rice i thought said that she would not run, but if that changes then maybe the mods could put her in later.

Where is the choice for someone from the Constitution Party? I usually go that route if the ticket permits.

None.

I'll have to see who the Libertarians are going to put up for '08. Even though I can't vote, I can still help out with the campaign.

Barr/Rice 2008

Barr/Rice 2012

Rice/? 2016

Rice/? 2020

That rounds out the first quarter fairly well.

I normally vote R, and it is pretty distressing to note that none of those are palatable to me. Other/None of the above, if Condi weren't on the ballot I'd be apt to sit it out. Gun grabbers, Spineless weaklings, Constitution ignorers, and the like? No thanks, none of them rate my active primary endorsement. For the main election I'd vote R just because I loathe the D's even worse, but I'd be holding my nose while doing so.

I hear a lot of "I'd like to see Condi run" "I'd vote for Condi if she ran"...

But she's not running. Seems the people want her, maybe someone should send her a letter.

I'm sure she's already received at least some pressure. The R's are already staging for 08 with their candidate. All others are just smoke screens. Most of those mentioned here are moderates and frankly bring nothing more to the table that the next guy. Kind of depressing if you ask me.

Women Should Stay Out Of Gov't

I'm a Presbyterian and therefore have a very Theo-centric view of government. I'm for establishing a Theocracy in America - ie establishing Christ as our King and establishing the Scripture as the Law. With that said I usually vote Constitution Party. As much as we may/may not like what certain women in office thinks/don't think, I believe that we should take a more Theo-centric approch to things.
Women in office = No
Someone who supports a Constitutional ammendment that acknowledges Christ as King and the Scripture as Law = Yes.

Westminster standards?

What makes you believe I want to live under your Gods rules? Thats fine for you, but the second you try to impose them on me, its Communism! You can believe what you want to till it infringes on my rights! A little research on your behalf, will reveal, a resemblance to the Taliban, and the 3rd Reich. And whatever your Westminster standards are, we, (America) dont need them! You wanna live under a king? Go back to England! you obviously misunderstood, or were brainwashed into believing your skewed version of the Declaration of Independance. Its supposed to represent all of us! Not your idealistic point of view.

No, it's God's Law.

You don't have any rights unless they were given to you by God.

A little research on your part would reveal that none of them submitted to God's Law.

We all live under a king. For Christ's Church our king is Christ. For everyone else it is the devil.

Yeah yeah a theocracy sounds great... everyone believing what you believe but pretty soon you'll find yourself trying to fly a plane into a tall building.

Don't go down that road.
