i have a broken trigger return spring on a old iver johnson top break, i was wondering if the recoil would reset the trigger return spring when shooting with live ammo?

I wouldn't count on it. Have you tried Numrich to see if they have the spring?

Post on the armscollectors.com forum under Iver Johnson, give all markings and the order in which they appear, pull grips and see if there any numbers there, barrel lenght, caliber, number of shots. bgoforth, an Iver Johnson expert will tell you what , when and where. Bill wrote the book on Iver Johnsons.

We just went through this with you about a month ago and I believe all of these questions were asked and answered.
If you can't find or are unwilling or able to fabricate one, I suggest you give up on this gun and find something else to play with.

No. I won't return when firing live ammo.

Simple as that.

topbreak problems

Hi RJay, I see you came over to this forum. good to see you here. TO Topbreak: Many gun smiths do not like to work on I Js and H & Rs. If you find a gun smith that will work on it, he may charge as much as the gun is worth.
