I was so excited when I made my first round I decided to keep it. Still sits on my computer desk. Have fun with your new hobby (obsession) and remember be safe!

Congratulations! Give us a range report when you shoot them.
I am Pro-Rights (on gun issues).

Did the 45-70 break my shoulder?
Shooting the 300 or 350 grain bullets will be more comfortable.

I don't know what rifle you have, but the 45-70 is one of my favorite rounds,,, hence,, the screen name.. The nice thing is you can load from mild to wild in the right gun. I use a Ruger #1 and have loaded everything from standard issue rounds to ones getting real close to a 458 mag. I think I like the std. ones better, less recoil on the bench. Good luck and enjoy your sport
