Help me pick my next Limited baby.

My options are
1)CZ 75 Tactical Sport in .40. Pros:I love my CZs, 17 round capacity and I might be able to convert it to a race gun down the road. Cons:They are kinda hard to try before you buy.
2)Build my own STI 2011 6 inch longslide in .40. Pros:Can buy piece by piece, I can build it the way I want. Cons:I have limited smithing experience.

tough choice..

don't think you could go wrong with either..
there is lots more experience and parts out in the competition circuit for the STI gun..might talk with Bennie Hill at Triangle Shooting Sports in Corpus..
there are a lot more people competing with the STI/SV platform than the CZ...

but then again..I am a big CZ fan and the Tactical Sport looks pretty cool..plus you can get mag pads to get round count to 19..so you are not too disadvantaged as far as round count goes against the STI guns..
might give Angus Hobdell a call at ghostholster as he shoots for CZ..

if I had the chance..I would go with the CZ..just my preference to go against the grain..I love the feel of CZ guns, plus I have my STI/SV guns already..

One thing I was wondering, but forgot to ask (the last few days I have been suffering from an anal/caranial inversion) what are the round counts for 2011s? Particularly the limited-legal mags in .45, .40 and 9mm.

goin' crazy

SINCE you've decided your current equipment is not sufficient for winning I can only recommend that you investigate the 20-rd 40 S&W STI path (of least resistance).

Truth......as much as I am unable to tolerate plastic-framed guns. :barf:

if I remember..which I don't

140mm mags depending on follower and springs

about 20 of .40
about 22 of 9mm/38 super ( would be scored minor in USPSA Limited)
about 17 or 18 .45acp

You forgot the obvious choice:

An SVI "Sight Tracker." I had mine built as a long slide.

Oh - you can spec it out piece-by-piece, which you cannot do with an STI. Go to www.sviguns.com and then click on Gun Builder. About 8 pages of choices.

And you can't shoot 9mm in Limited. Caliber must be .40 or better.

You can shoot a 9mm base cartridge in Limited..it is just scored as minor..

the sight tracker is pretty cool gun..six-inch would be cool..Is that allowed now in USPSA Limited??? thought only the 5" version was allowed to race.

The SVI Sight Tracker

has been USPSA approved for nigh on to a year now.

Sounds as if you really need to research the divisions and decide which one you want to shoot in.

OF course, a Limited gun is also eligible for Limited - 10.
