Does anyone know where to get parts for a 1911A Ballester-Molina, specifically the magazine release retainer and the magazine release. These parts are not interchangeable with the standard Colt 1911A.

Gun Parts Corp., doesn't list the BM but they would be my first try. Then Navy Arms and Springfield Sporters, who sold them. The parts could be made, but would be salty. Lots of folks (including some who have never seen one) claim they are identical to the M1911A1 "except for the grip safety." My response is, "Not exactly."

Boy, a lot of B/M parts do not enterchange with 1911 parts. Triggers and thumb safeties for two. Finding parts will be a b@#%^. I can not remember ever seeing B/M parts being offered for sale. And I have a couple of the pistols in my collection.

JBP, today is parts day for me anyway. I'll add them to my list and see if I can locate them for you. George
