Anybody know anything about Nikko?
Kicking around in a local gunshop and they had one on the used rack. Semiauto, in pretty good shape, a few minor dings in wood but the metal all looked good. Model was Woodland MarkXII. Googled Nikko and couldn't find much, except some ads - o/u's for sale, apparently they made Winchester 101's and 23's, and after Win/Olin got out of the gun business (sold to USRAC) the Nikko factory was bought by Classic Doubles. So, the o/u's have a good rep, but I couldn't find diddly on the semiautos. Help anybody?

Nice well made guns but parts are impossible.
They made a bolt rifle called the Nikko Golden Eagle, sort of weatheby style in a hi combed gloss heavy sort of way. The used to make steros too...I had one in 1976, could blow my windows out@! WildfountoftheobscureAlaska |

Japanese? manufacturer or rifles and scopes. Quality of scopes varies in 'volume' end of market.
Have produced quality guns under licence I believe. |
