Triple check my 44 mag, Win 296 load.

This seems like a prudent place to check. I'm working up my first 44 mag load. 23.3 grains of Win 296 behind a 240 gr Hornady. I've double checked and verified everything on my end, so I figure it couldn't hurt for a visual inspection of one my cases. They come out roughly 3/4 full. Look right?

couple questions

1) How do you know what your charge weighs?

2) What gun are you using for testing?

Your stuff looks fine, the load is well under MAX, seat to cannelure, crimp well, and test. On paper. Through a chrono.
Then tell us all about it?

RCBS 502. Not to worry - I'm not eyeballing it I overcharged .45 ACP when I was just getting started (via bonehead misread of scale) and someone here caught it because I posted a question when the case looked a bit full. Can't hurt to try again.

Desert Eagle. *ahem* Yeah, I know it's a little weird, but I had the .50 AE sitting around and I figured why not try .44 mag?

thank you

So now go buy a scale weight check set (around $25).

DE? Cool.......Accurate Arms manual offers seperate load data just for DEs.
