Anyone have an online source for 1911/M1991A1 mags? Any brand preferences or dislikes?
Thanks! |

http://www.brownells.com http://www.denneysshooters.com
entered it wrong before http://www.promagindustries.com entered this one wrong toohttp://www.ajaxgrips.com that should cover several locations to buy mags on line. The question of favorite magazines opens a big can of worms, everybodyhas a favorite brand of magazines for the 1911 as do the pistols. My best magazines are the old Randall mags, followed by some original GI mags, then Shooting Stars and then the ProMags I am testing. I suggest that you go to the range and borrow several different makes of 1911 magazines and try them all to find which ones work best in your pistol(s). ------------------ Ne Conjuge Nobiscum "If there be treachery, let there be jehad!" Wilson are great. Spend a little more money. It will be worth it!

I also gotta go with the Wilson 8-rounders. Never had any trouble with them. Definitely well made and worth the money.

Jim's advice is real good. I have a Kimber that is not too fond of Wilson's, but it just loves CMC Shooting Stars. You figure it out.

I sure like the Ed Brown mags. Checkout http://www.edbrown.com/magazines.htm
Not the cheapest in market place but, the ones I have are the best I have found. Yes, I like them better then Wilson. Ed Brown products have served me very well and unlike Wilson, I haven't found any questionable parts (I'm sure customer service would be great with Ed Brown but, I have never tried it ).Sid --- FFL |
