Conceal Carry Gun

What type of guns do you like to carry concealed?
I was carrying a Beretta Tomcat 3032 but soon
found this gun a total failure after few rounds of
different ammo fired from it.
I switched to a Taurus Model 85 Ultralight Titanium
.38 Special +P rated (picked the gun up today 06/14).

Rule number one of a carry gun:
Make sure it functions with the carry ammo chosen for it.
This also goes for the Taurus M85 you just got today. You really don't want surprises if you HAVE to use it.

I mainly carry a Colt Combat Commander locked & cocked with a Wilson Combat mag full to the brim with 230gr Federal Hydro's. I keep it in a High Noon Hideaway IWB, and keep 1 spare mag in a Fobus mag carrier. DON"T forget about a quality gun belt! Think of your belt and holster as one unit.

I too have a Taurus M85 and carry it from time to time. IMO, forget the fancy ammo for use in a snubby. I use 158gr semi wadcutter hollow points.

Beretta 96FS and/or Sig P228. The former with 12+1 of .40 S&W and the latter with 15+1 of 9mm, and each with up to two spare mags.

If you saw how well I shoot, you'd know why I need so much ammo

What! Are you reading my mind..?? I also dumped my Beretta TomCat for the same reason. My summer carry is a Taurus 85UL .38Spl.+p. Good shooter, handles +p very well. At 15oz's in a pocket holster, fits in any pocket...
Enjoy...

Thats something Bullrock. I wonder how many others have had
problems with the Tomcat? You have to be able to reley on
your carry gun when needed. I purchased almost the exact same model as yours (Ultralite Titanium Model# M85MULTI, 13.5 oz.....so so lite). I have a full size Colt 1991A1 and Browning HI-Power Mark III pistol. I usually do not
carry one of them all day long, unless I'm in some bad areas in St. Louis
(and I do end up in some of the areas). Also with the Saint Louis heat and
humidity being like some forbidden planet I dress in t-shirts and shorts. In
Missouri you must keep your gun concealed. The Colt and Browning are about
impossible to hide while wearing this type of clothing.

That's a beautiful little wheelgun Bullrock. I'm off to the Taurus website to find the model for me.

Whatever's workable with the choice of attire. Kahr PM9, Kimber UCII, Sig P229/P239/SP2340, HK USPc all get mileage ...

No CCW in Wisconsin, but I do carry at my office (armored car co.) and I carry a USPc .40 in a Blackhawk Serpa holster.

FRSIV, My TomCat was an undersized jamomatic. Even when it didn't jam, I didn't enjoy shooting that little sucker...I enjoy my little taurus, and like yours, it packs a much better punch...
Packa45, Try genitron.com. It will give you complete stats, and pics of all the models. I find it easier to find what I'm looking for than the Tauri website...
Good Luck,
