Is the tang sight from either Lyman or Marble very durable?
Does anyone have experience with them? thanks Judge Blackhawk |

judge, yes they are both good pieces of equipment. some would argue, but i think target acquisition is faster. on the pro and con side, the lyman is not windage adjustable other than shimming, the marble is. the marble is also more expensive. i have an original lyman tang with the lock down mechanism and the new ones position into a detent when placed upward. imo the new style is not a durable as the old. i am going to get a marble for my rossi since the front sight is fixed on the barrel band and i do not want to dove tail the barrel. just some rambling thoughts. btw, they are both good sights. i know the lyman is SASS approved, and i read somewhere that the marble is SASS approved, also. sundog

Thanks for the reply. I think I will get the marble. Since my rifle is .22 Winchester 1885 I wont be worrying about SASS approved or not.
