Reloading with Lee Turret Press
I am using a Lee turret press with Auto-Index function to reload standard 9x19 pistol cartridges.
The dies are clean, adjusted and tightly in place. However, the overall finished cartridge length is varying by upwards of +/- 2mm from cartridge to cartridge. Can some technical person with experience on this reloader offer some advice. Godd shooting - Sunray. |

If you are using cast bullets, lube buildup on the nose punch can do that, but you say the dies are clean. You may have a problem with fit of the ogive of the bullet to the nose punch. Some folks use epoxy to make the punch a custom fit for a certain bullet. I make up extra punches as needed. Dead easy if you have a lathe, but not out of reach with just a file and a drill.

I just reloaded some for the first time on my Lee Turret press, just a few to try them wish I could measure for you but loaned it to a friend.I just tried them in the chamber to see if I was getting a good fit.Friend told me his 9MM reloads wouldn't fit in the chamber of his guns?????He said the bottom of the case would bulge and case wouldn't go in??

In addition, the ogilve from bullet to bullet can vary also which changes how far up or down the seating punch sets.
