Assistance on a 1897 Winchester please

I'm in the process of wrapping up a project '97 Winchester and I need help getting the wooden forarm over the action slide. Wood is beautiful and I'm afraid I'll crack it if I try any harder to put it on the action slide. I've thought about baby powder or maybe graphite. I don't know. I know the wood needs to be tight on the action slide BUT...........

Any help will be appreciated and judged on the technical merits

Naw, just kidding! Thanks guys!!

Harley

I saw nothing in there that showed about re-assembly of the forearm. I appreciate the time and trouble though.

Kyote,
Here's a resource for you. I don't know who he is, but seems to be a recognized authority on the SASS web.
This link will take you to diagrams and Q&A.

If that doesn't work for you, I'd try emailing him.
