I Picked up my CCDWL today
Sorry I'm just excited I've been waiting a few weeks and I finally got my letter to go pick it up today. Now that i have it i'm thinking about buying my self a new gun to reward myself
Trying to decide between a Glock 27 (dont own a Glock yet, and not really sure if i want one) or a .40 XD compact. Right now i have a pt111 to carry. Any ideas or advice about which gun and how you all felt when you got your CCDWL. Kinda seems wierd carrying if you know what i mean. Not bad just like im doing something wrong (even though i'm not).

Welcome to the club. No matter what you buy ,you will most likely end up with several for carry. I think a Kahr in 9 would be a good start

Ha, I didn't waste any time when I turned 21. On my birthday I went and got my carriers license, then I drove straight to the gun store and bought my gun. Getting my license here in alabama only took about 10 minutes and the gun purchase took the same amount of time. There is no waiting period here. They just run a background check and that's it. I didn't feel wierd carrying it at all. Oh yeah, I have a full size Walther P99AS and I carry it all the time. I would recommend that over any glock.

I like the feel of the Sigma, for a plastic gun its quite nice.. the glock feels like I'm holding a well sanded 2x4 :P

I got to borrow a friend's 9mm Sigma(the new one), and I loved it myself. Only shot around 300 rounds through it, but it had no problems(and it was cheap nato stuff) and was fairly accurate. New, its the right price to(thats what a plastic GUN should cost)... That and there is no rusty carbon steel on it

Start small, I think...

I'm new at this myself, and no expert. However, I carry the Kel-Tec P3AT in my front pocket, and it is so small and light, that I never have the feeling that anyone is looking and knowing. If I had my Ruger P95 in my pocket, I would definitely be worried! I don't think your P32 will be noticeable.

People look but they don't see A Kel Tec in your pocket no one will notice. Just make sure their nothing else in the pocket. Get a pocket holster uncle Mikes works good for a KT. In fact I think I'd carry the KT for a few mo. to get use to carrying. Also will give you time to look around and talk to people and make a informed decision .Not I want because I got my permit.
