Primer Question
Is the Winchester large psitol primer a "hotter" primer than the Federal 150 and therefore more suitable for a slower powder if there's choice between the two?
Thank you. |

No.
Maybe. I don't know. Could be. Difficult to say; each lot can vary. Federal's have been know to ignite same-load charges to slightly higher pressure; measured. That said, what IS suitable is a primer that is called for by data, one that ignites reliably, and after it's ignited ignites the powder charge, regardless of temperature or position. That any help?
