Budget bullet for 223
Hi there, i'm looking for a bullet(prefferbly a soft point or hollow point) thats fairly cheap to buy in my DCM AR-15 at the local high power match. I'm fairly new, so i'm not looking for one hole groups, not that i wouldn't like them. Also, the range is only 200 yards for all the positions, so it doesn't need a great ballistic coefitient or to be a heavy bullet. The reason for it being an expanding bullet(but wont limit myself to) is in case i use the DCM gun for hunting, or in my varmint/target AR-15.
thanks for any help! |

I recently bought 1,000 of the Hornady .224 55 gr spire point, this is a soft point bullet, very accurate and at a very reasonable price, currently $59.69 per thousand.

Midway also had a sale on winchester 55 grain soft point bullets. I got 1,000 for 49.49+ shipping. My past experience has been, these shoot pretty well for mad minute rattle battles!
