H-335 Standard,or Mag, primers ?

Been using CCI-450 for years when loading .223 One manual says standard the next says magnum My standerd load is 26.5Grs H-335 with a 55Gr sierra HPBT. Great PD round they really explode.
Well I ran out of mag, primers. But I'v got 2K win, standard. I could just run out to my "Un-friendly" gun shop, in Lockport Illinois and buy a 1K. 15 miles one way.......No thanks

I have shot H335 in the .223 with both mag primers and standard primers. For the same reason! I ran out of mags.

The ones with the standard primers were maybe 100-200fps slower than the mag primers. Not enough to notice POI change at 100 yards.

Edited to add I use 26gr. of H335, so my load is a touch milder.

I personaly use mag. primers for everything that I load. Velocities much different from standard to mag., but the mag. primers give me a little better piece of mind.

I think you'll find the WSR primers to be satisfactory. They are a bit hotter than most small rifle primers.

I've been using H335 for some 223 shells, standard primers work fine, good accuracy, groups less than 1".
