Maryland: Drop your beer and grab your gear...AWB SB116 Hearing 16 Feb

Unofficial Copy, and more from MCRKBA.

They're at it again without warning. Buncha folks all ready to head to Annapolis next Wednesday for the 1300 (1:00) hearing.

I'll be there.

Don't forget to call your local representative and tell them to put an end to this nonsense.

During the time I spent at the Treasury Police School in the District of Criminals, I saw mostly Negros, Fat White Women with moustaches and Crazies in Maryland. We did most of our shooting at the EPS Range near Beltsville. One of the students in the class was from Maryland and he said that my assumption was mostly correct.

Termed an assualt weapon for having a detachable mag and a thumbhole stock - Holy Crap - Glad I don't live in MD, oh wait, I live in IL, quite possibly the worst state after CA and NY (gotta love having the 4th largest city in the country deciding what is best for the rest of the state.)

P.S. Nothing against the citizens of CA and NY, just some really crappy laws.

No offense taken. California blows.

Latest from Senator Nancy Jacobs, who is on the Judiciary Committee, is that SB 116 (gun control lite) is dead. It was considered a Trojan Horse bill to be amended later as a complete AW ban as apparently the House Bill is. Jacobs confirmed that observation in a e-mail to me.

I think we had a pretty good showing. I estimate about 60 people showed up against SB 116. I think there were one or two speakers supporting the bill and whole bunch against.

Yup, one down, many more to go.....

There's the full AWB in the House that we'll need to worry about....although the bill will have to come overto the Senate Judicial Proceedings Commitee, where it SHOULD die again.

We have a GOOD ccw bill in the hopper. Slim chance, but we need to make some LOUD noise.

Ballistic Fingerprint repeal - the last hurdle to making almost ALL handguns legal for sale in Maryland.

Gobs of other bills, some good, most bad.
