I have a HOWA 1500 in .308 with the heavy barrel. I'm going to be mounting a Simmons Whitetail 3.5-10 x 40 scope on it that I just bought. I would like to get some sugestions on rings and bases that others have used for similar set ups? Two piece or one piece bases?
Thanks Tony |

My opinion is that you should get the Leupold mounts. I have used these for years and love them. I believe that your Howa will use the same bases and rings as for the Remington 700. Don't hold me to that, but that is what is popping into my mind.

Same rings and bases as the Weatherby Vanguard. Believe it or not, it's the same gun!

I also have a Howa 1500 .308 and the Leupold rings and bases that fit a Remington 700 will work just fine.
