Ithaca 51 dissassembly?
Can anyone please describe or illustrate the dissassembly of the Ithaca model 51 shotgun?

Not sure what disassembly you are referring too but there there is not much to these guns. Just remove the forearm nut cap and the forearm will slide off, then you can remove the barrel by pulling it straight out of the action. I can't remember if it's best to do this with action already open or not. For basic cleaning that is all you will need to do.
You can also remove the trigger group assembly by tapping it out with a small punch. Hope that answers your question, if not you can send me a pm and maybe I can be more specific. Chuck |
