Can TFL attachments be directly linked into posts?

Tried to post an attachment .jpg and then link it in this post.

It shows as a link, instead:

<---but not surprised.

Hmmm. Should work fine. I do that from time to time...

Better to know what you don't know than to think you know what you don't know.

Ahh. Dynamic urls are prohibited from being linked with [img]. I don't think universally allowing dynamic urls in img tags is a good idea.

I suppose vBulletin could be hacked such that dynamic urls are allowed if the url contains the forum's base url.

Of course, dynamic urls don't have to have ? or &, but there's no doubt this restriction prevents some abuse.
“The egg hatched...” “...the egg hatched... and a hundred baby spiders came out...” (blade runner)
“Who are you?” “A friend. I'm here to prevent you from making a mistake.” “You have no idea what I'm doing here, friend.” “In specific terms, no, but I swore an oath to protect the world...” (continuum)
“It's a goal you won't understand until later. Your job is to make sure he doesn't achieve the goal.” (bsg)

I was bitter about this at first, but I have gotten used to it. Or at least resigned to it...
