Ballistic Expert on FOX & Friends
If I hear about ballistic fingerprints one more time on the news, I'll scream!
This morning, I'm watching FOX & Friends and in comes this ballistic expert, lugging photos and props for some show and tell. I start getting this queasy feeling. Please ... not again. Not so early in the day! The first positive sign comes when he's asked about BF's and he calmly points out that term is not really accurate. He then goes into a description of the various markings that are left on the bullet and case and how they get matched up in his investigations. He had some really good props and photos and was fairly informative. As the segment starts winding down, he gets asked about a BF database. I groan and think: here it comes! Without missing a beat, he said it would be a big waste of time and money. He went on to briefly explain why. Simple, straightforward and logical. I loved it!

I heard one newstory that even antigun
kali has actually declined to set up a fingerprint database. Said the date collected would not be usefull or cost effecient. I firure if kali does not want to try an antigun law it must be worthless.

I saw the piece and was pleasantly surprised. When asked if he supported BF (at end) he without hesitation and elaboration said "no."
E.D. then said (to the effect), "Is that because you can easily change the fingerprint with a file?" His response was "I'll not get into the details of how to do it." Message received. FOX has received messages from gunners including me which challenged them to investigate how easy it is to render the database garbage. Good piece.

Uh, California AG also did a study in `88 saying that an "assault weapon" ban would be worthless. California still did it.
Don't forget politicians are feckless cowards and operate on perception, not reality. They'll pass it out there, just give them a year.
