Wanna Help fight Cancer???

Go to www.intel.com/cure

Download a small program that runs unobtrusively in the background.

Read about it on the site. I've had it for over a year, and it does NOT interfere with your normal activities at ALL.

Regards

Drjones,

Thanks. Having had cancer myself i think it really s*cks.

There is a lot a young person like yourself can do to reduce their risk, like not getting sunburned, not smoking cigarettes, eating plenty of fiber and (believe it or not) eating tomatos every day. You've got a risk of getting cancer which is about a gazillion times greater than your risk of geting shot.

Cancer Club

I had a rather massive abdominal surgury in 2001..."You are cancer-free!": for a year I heard this good news from my Oncologist; the monitoring MRIs/CT scans didn't show any "activity. Last July, after routine MRI, my Oncologist informs me that the tumor(s) had re-appeared in my liver...SH*T!!
I will be starting a non-chemo hormone therapy next week. Yes, cancer sucks! Funny thing, I have no symptoms(?!)

I have been getting up at dawn almost every day since July and shooting at my local outdoor range. It is the best anti-cancer therapy I could ask for. When I check-out, I hope I have a pistol or revolver in my right hand! Hopefully, that will be several thousand rounds of ammo from now. I mean no disrespect to those currently fighting the big "C", or those who have succomed:
I guess this is how I cope with this POS disease!

Here is my mantra to the cancer cells, "DIE, M.F.er!!"

Hope I didn't bum anybody out...

I've been running this for about 2 years now, maybe a bit longer. It has some interface issues I really hate, but it's still totally worth running. I just lost my father to cancer in July, so that makes it extra important to me. This program not only is good and reputable, but it's results will be owned by a university and a non-profit org that will not allow them to be used to make enormous money off the only source of the cure when it's found. I strongly recommend you all download and run this program as often as you can. It has done as much combination sampling in 1 year as researchers could have done in 10 with standard supercomputers, and probably as much as they could have done in 1000 with no computers. Last count I saw was 1 billion combinations checked, but I'm sure it's gone up since then.

Great site! Although I did not see any links that were directly related to cancer research, I found one or two related to proteonomics, which is the next "big thing" in biotechnology. It is running on my machine even as I type.

Moderators:

Yes, I realize it is OT, but I am not looking for discussion; only to raise awareness of this program and get people to download it.

I can think of no better use of these forums than to spread information about programs like these that could possibly help find a cure for cancer, or at least a cancer-fighting drug.

Drjones
