S&W 63 date of manufacture?

I think this is an easy one. I have a SS S&W 63 SN# M 11 59XX and I want to know what year it was made. Can anyone tell me or give me the name of a site that gives D.O.M. by serial number?

kahrma, the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, by Supica and Nahas shows serial number range M100000-M130000 manufactured from 1978-1979. My guess would be your Model 63 was made in 1978. Hope this helps!
