Erick, what application does it best lend itself to? Rifle matches? Or is it useless unless I'm an LEO or in the military? Not sure if I want one (to dump my expensive .308 mags so I dont have to clean 'em as much) or if I should just get another mag pouch for the left leg.

Skunk, use them extensively at skul or on the range.

I use the one built into my Waller bag. Fewer pieces of gear I have the better.

Skunk,
I just dropped the empties down my BDU jacket for the entire time I was in the Infantry. The pistol belt kept them from falling out.

I've found a pouch like that handy at school (as KS recommended) or on the range in a three gun match etc. My duty gear (on both sides police and ARNG) isn't really configured to carry one. The down the BDU jacket method works well if you're not wearing body armor. I normally drop them in my off side BDU trouser's cargo pocket when wearing armor.

Shame on me, but I don't do much recreational shooting all kitted out in my mall ninja/GSC gear I've not bought a dedicated magazine dump pouch, but I've got several shoulder bag type pouches I use for that purpose when just out shooting. Let's see here...$30 or so for a magazine dump pouch from one of the high end gear makers or $3-5 for a Claymore bag or engineer's bag at the surplus store? Easy choice for me.

Jeff
