Ejector Problems With Sig P226 40
I have a Sigarms P226 in 40 S&W that was purchased new. I have 1,250 rounds through it. I noticed that the ejector has some side-to-side play. Is this normal?

Yes, some play in the extractor is normal. Just look at how it fits into the gun. basically it is a narrow plate that slides onto 2 pins. One of those pins is the removeable sear/safety lever pin. The other one holds the sear spring arm in place. When taking down the gun completely, the ejector will fall out when you remove the sear pin.
