Colt SAA info

Did some trading and came up with a nickel, 5.5 inch Colt SAA. Thought it was a 3rd generation but the serial numbers don't seem right. My colt has a sn # of S26817A, everything I have read said that 3rd generation was xxxxxxSA and second was SAxxxxxx. so with SxxxxxA what generation is it? and given its been fired about 30 rounds worth what is its value. Pic shows it with grips that were added, still have papers, original black grips and box.

Late 3rd generation.
They went to "split SA" numbering in 1993.
Sorry, I don't have detailed date vs number.
